Friday Favorites 02Host: Tressa’s Wishful Endings

I know that vampires have become very popular over the years. Not to sound hipster, but I have liked vampires before reading Twilight. I missed the train when it came to reading Twilight anyway, because I didn’t find out about it right before the last book came out.

Anyway, I liked vampires before reading about them. As I have stated before, my love for vampires really started when I read The Silver Kiss when I was in jr high (2004). This was recommended to me by a friend, and I fell in love.

It would be hard for me to pick a favorite author. I still feel that I have not read enough books. Often, I still shy away from other books by the author that I like. Its dumb, and I do not understand why I have a negative feeling about this. It has proven to be that it could be an awesome thing. I like Twilight, but I LOVE The Host.

In truth, I have not read many books by one author (that is not in a series). Not doing so makes me feel like I can’t really deem them a favorite author.

So, instead of this post being about my favorite author …. it was about why I can’t pick a favorite. 🙂 Works for me.

My favorite library would have to be the one in my county. There is only one because my county is kind of poor, however it is a really nice library. It has two floors with the top being for more adult books and the lower for children/young adult.

Several libraries within the area have joined and share books, so I am able to get almost every book I want to read. They do not charge late fees and everyone is very kind. The librarians have long since remembered my name.

I live rather far from the library, so I do no get to go there as much as I would like. I have to make special trips whenever my books come in. I always try to look at the books they have available when I am there.
