Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Synopsis: Abby is an ordinary girl who never had to worry about anything weird happening except in her books she always read. That is until her mom decides that they’re going to move from Florida to West Virgina. They move into a house beside two teenagers, Daemon and Dee, and that changes everything. Her life will never be the same.

My Thoughts: I really liked this book. I loved how the author made this book as a sci-fi book. It is very different from books I normally read. I also like that the book is in the main character’s point of view. Daemon is such a jerk to Katy (the main character) and doesn’t want her to be friends with his sister Dee but Katy really doesn’t care and becomes friends with her anyways. Katy soon figures out why Daemon didn’t want her to be friends with his sister. I would have liked for Katy and Daemon to become more friendly that they did by the end of the book but I’m not going to tell you why they become a little more friendly with each other because that would just give away the ending of the book. This book definitely ends where you want to go straight out to the store and get the second book.
